Who we are

PLAII Training and Skilling Centre was founded in 2017 as a strategic initiative under the sustainability framework of the Platform for Labour Action (PLA). Its establishment marked a significant milestone in our journey to empower youth and women through practical, market-driven skills.

With over sixteen years of experience in vocational training, PLA recognized the need to create a dedicated centre that could offer holistic and hands-on skilling opportunities. Since 2004, PLA has partnered with various vocational institutions to train young people in trades such as hairdressing, mechanical work, catering, leatherwork, and cookery. However, PLA consistently went beyond traditional training by providing additional support in computer literacy, entrepreneurship, basic education, and internship placements.

This comprehensive approach inspired the creation of PLAII Training and Skilling Centre a social enterprise committed to equipping learners with the full spectrum of skills needed to thrive in today’s job market and entrepreneurial landscape
