About PLAII Training & Skilling Centre

Founded in 2017, PLAII Training and Skilling Centre is a social enterprise under the Platform for Labour Action (PLA), created to empower youth and women with practical, market-driven skills. Building on PLA’s long-standing experience in vocational training since 2004, PLAII offers hands-on programs in trades like hairdressing, catering, mechanical work, and leatherwork enhanced with entrepreneurship, computer literacy, and internship support.

In response to evolving challenges, PLAII integrates climate-smart training and technology driven innovation, preparing learners for opportunities in the green economy and digital sectors. Our goal is to equip individuals not just for employment, but for sustainable livelihoods and resilient communities.

At our Vocational Training and Skilling Centre, we believe that learning should be accessible, relevant, and rooted in the realities of the communities we serve. That’s why we establish Community Learning Hubs safe, inclusive spaces where youth can gain practical skills and knowledge right within their own environments. These centres are designed to empower young people, especially women and girls, with vocational training that leads to meaningful employment and entrepreneurship.
